The closer to the naive user you are, the more of them you find. Just to get Gentoo installed takes you a level beyond where many Xfce users are (Xubuntu).

Sometimes I think all the folks that come into #xfce are Help Vampires.

Then I realize that they're just users who haven't read/refuse to read/don't know about the official documentation and other resources of their distribution.

There's a higher percentage of clueless users on #xfce than on any Gentoo channel or forum that I've ever seen. A corresponding higher increase in HV false positives. I wonder why that is?

Will nouveau also make it into x11 overlay (in near future)?
(A note in driver ebuilds supporting KMS would be a nice bonus, supporting as not conflicting with KMS or not touching GPU registers behind KMS's back)

Without sounding too pushy, but what is soon?
Is it worth the wait, or should I go for the overlay?

Yep. I expect to add 1.6 soon. The XCB rebuilding script is OK, and the only other thing I'm thinking about is some xinit changes.

For some unknown reason, there's still no upstream release of x11-apps/xrandr that actually works.

How does it look with the progress, is there any estimate how long it will take before xserver 1.6 reaches ~x86? It has already been one month :-)
